Godfrey – Lewis and Clark Community College men’s soccer earned an important 3–0 victory against University of Missouri–St. Louis in a match that showed two very different halves and a strong team reaction after halftime.

The game started with some difficulties for LC. During the first half, the team did not feel comfortable on the field and struggled to find their rhythm. UMSL controlled many moments of the game, and LC had problems keeping possession and creating clear chances. Because of this, the first half ended 0–0, with LC knowing they needed to improve.

In the second half, everything changed. LC came back with a different mentality and much better organization. The players started to connect better with each other, moving the ball faster and finding more space in the attack. This improvement was key, as the team began to dominate the game.

The first goal came after a good team play, showing patience and quality in the final third. After that, LC gained confidence and continued attacking. The second and third goals arrived thanks to great teamwork, with multiple players involved in the build-up of each play.

A very important factor in the second half was head coach John Dunn, who made key adjustments and motivated the team during halftime. His decisions helped the players perform at a much higher level and completely changed the direction of the match.

Overall, this victory shows the character of LC. Even after a difficult first half, the team stayed focused and worked together to achieve a strong result. The 3–0 win is a clear example of how teamwork and good leadership can make the difference in a game.
