Who doesn’t love a good Hot Dog and ice cream? Maybe people who are lactose intolerant but that’s beside the point. Though it may have been too cold, and snowy outside to be eating ice cream that was also beside the point.
At Lewis and Clark Community College’s Reid Cafe, this year marked the first Ice Cream Social and it was a blast, with not so many different flavors as Baskin Robin, but with flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla added with a variety of toppings such as fruit and candy.
Mamma always said to eat dinner before desert, so Lewis and Clark Community College served Hot Dogs as well as Ice Cream. It was absolutely delicious and super fun! The DJ was amazing it was loud and crazy which made everyone dance and sing. It was just a really good time for everyone!
After asking a few people what their favorite part of the Ice Cream Social was, these were their responses:
“Vanilla is the best Ice Cream ever, it tastes so sweet, nothing can top vanilla.” said Conner Farris. “The DJ played awesome music.”
“Vanilla is the best but the toppings are what makes it ten times better!” said Brittany Dickerson. “We have the best DJ to get our students going while they are enjoying their Ice Cream!”
“I like all kinds of Ice Cream, but I think my favorite part of the Ice Cream Social was the DJ.” said Keith Brainard Perry Jr. “He was really cool, I loved the music he played and the fact that everyone was dancing and singing along.”
The Ice Cream social was a huge success here in the Reid Cafe, everyone is hoping for another Ice Cream Social soon for more dancing and singing and more Ice Cream and Hot Dogs.
