On April 24th, the PLC Programming class of LCCC, led and instructed by Paul Kuebrich, a course that contributes to a future in the electrical field, took a tour of NCERC (National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center) located in Edwardsville, IL.

The Pilot Plant of (NCERC), the only fully integrated research facility of its kind in the world. Paul Kuebrich, Instructor of the PLC Programming course, led the tour with enthusiasm, answering questions and providing feedback.

The majority of the finished products begin as corn and end as Ethanol after going through a machine process.

Knowledge gained in the classroom has led these students to an opportunity in the Industrial Electrical field as an Engineer surrounded by experts to continue to learn about programming, and also gain hands-on experience.

If interested, students will be able to fulfill an internship through NCERC and a career.
