Pantera’s Pizza in Edwardsville is one of those places that shows you don’t need to spend a lot of money to eat well. At a time when many restaurants are becoming increasingly expensive, this place stands out for something very simple: for less than $15 you can have unlimited pizza with a drink included. For students or people who just want to eat a lot without spending too much, it is a very hard option to beat.
One thing that caught my attention is that the pizzas are not especially extravagant, and they don’t have unusual combinations. They are pretty common pizzas with the classic flavors everyone knows. There is not a huge variety compared to other pizza buffets, but honestly it doesn’t feel necessary. What they have is very well-made and tastes perfect. Sometimes it is better to have fewer options that are all good rather than many options that are not worth trying.
The atmosphere is also simply relaxing, which makes it a good place to go with friends or after school. It is not a fancy restaurant, but it doesn’t try to be one. Its goal seems clear: to offer good, quick, and affordable food.
However, the best part for me was the dessert. They have a type of pizza dough covered with sugar and cinnamon that is simply incredible. It is sweet, warm, and very soft, and after eating several slices of pizza it feels like the perfect ending.
Overall, Pantera’s Pizza in Edwardsville is a highly recommended place if you are looking for something inexpensive and satisfying. It may not have the biggest variety of pizzas, but what they offer tastes good, the price is excellent, and the dessert makes the visit even more worth it.
