Letter from the Editor

Dear Readers, 

As we embrace the beauty of autumn, the warmth of Thanksgiving, and the anticipation of the upcoming holiday season, I can’t help but feel grateful for the privilege of serving as the Editor-in-Chief of The Bridge. November is a time of reflection, a time to give thanks, and a time to savor some of the most delicious food of the year. It’s also the last full month of the semester, making it a time to celebrate our achievements and prepare for the challenges that lie ahead.  

In this month’s issue, we have a lot in store for you:  

Food Drive for Needy People for Christmas – The spirit of giving is in the air, and we’re excited to launch our inaugural food drive. We invite you all to contribute and help those in need. Please bring your donations to Trimpe 290 by December 12, 2023. Let’s come together to make a difference in our community.  

Pop Culture Connection – We’re putting a spotlight on the connections between current pop culture trends and our campus life. We encourage you to submit your thoughts on how pop culture relates to serious topics or college experiences. The most clever and relevant submissions will be featured in our pages.  

KD Cup Competition – Dive into the exciting world of the KD Cup competition with a detailed article and captivating photos. Discover the talent, dedication, and sportsmanship that make this event so special.  

James Peppers’ Election to President of Student Government Association – Learn more about the recent election and the promising future that lies ahead with James Peppers leading the Student Government Association.  

Scholars and Donors Celebration – Join us in celebrating the academic achievements and generosity of our scholars and donors. Explore the highlights of this special event through our article and stunning photos. 

Native American Heritage Month – November is Native American Heritage Month, and we’re dedicating a special graphic to honor and celebrate the rich history and contributions of Native Americans.  

Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Soccer – Dive into the excitement of our college sports as we bring you articles and photos showcasing the achievements of our Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Soccer teams.  

Faculty Art Exhibition – Discover the hidden talents of our faculty members as they showcase their artistic endeavors. Explore the unique perspective of our educators through their art.  

Comics and Games – We’ve got plenty of fun and entertainment in store for you with our comics and games. Take a break from your busy schedule and enjoy some light-hearted content.  

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and readership. It’s your enthusiasm that keeps The Bridge thriving. We value your opinions and ideas, so please don’t hesitate to share your feedback or suggestions with us at thebridge@lc.edu 

As we approach Thanksgiving, let’s not only relish the great food but also the great community we have at Lewis and Clark Community College. We’re thankful for the opportunity to connect with you through the pages of The Bridge, and we look forward to sharing even more stories, events, and experiences in the months to come.
