Lewis and Clark CC hosted its bi-annual “Discover Days” event on October 8th on the courtyard of the Godfrey campus. This was an opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a Trailblazer to speak with enrollment representatives, eat free food, and get a taste of campus life in general.

Some of the high school students there were planning to be the first members of their family to go to college, while others were following in the footsteps of their parents, like the daughter of former LC Alumni Pamela Long.

“Many in our family have graduated from Lewis and Clark” said Long.  “[Discover Days] it gives my daughter the opportunity to see what L&C is like in person and ultimately the opportunity to stay local with family support.”

This was the third Discover Day event that L&C has hosted, and only the second year that Lewis and Clark has hosted this event, which served free pizza, a preview of most of the clubs on campus, as well as a tour of campus facilities and much more.

“I would have loved to know about Discover Days when I was in high school, seeing how beneficial it has been to these students today” said Drew Runde a Mass Communications Major and representative of the radio program here at LC.

Delfina Dornes was responsible for planning this event which was organized with the help of staff from the enrollment center. For those who were unable to attend in the Fall, there will be another “Discover Days” on February 18, 2019.
