Lewis and Clark Community College will be hosting its next “Discover Day” Monday, Oct. 8. Anyone interested in becoming a Trailblazer is invited to tour the campus, speak with financial aid and enrollment representatives, find information about programs of interest, as well as enjoying free food, giveaways, and experiencing campus life in general.

“Discover Days are meant to provide a taste of campus life to those considering Lewis and Clark” Vice President of Enrollment, Kent Scheffell said. Potential students will have a great opportunity to tour programs and labs, as well as to speak with experts.

The Godfrey campus will be hosting the event from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. and will be located behind the enrollment center. If there is inclement weather the event will take place in The Commons instead. Participants are encouraged to register and RSVP online at lc.edu/discoverdays.

“This will be our 3rd Discover Day.  Our first one was held last October.”  Director of Enrollment and Advising Delfina Dornes said. “Discover Day happens every Columbus Day and Presidents Day.”

Dornes is responsible for planning the event and has been involved since the very first one. The event is also organized with the help of staff from the Enrollment Center, High School Partnership office, Media Services and Student Activities.

“Discover Day is a great opportunity for prospective students to come out and see everything that Lewis and Clark has to offer,” Dornes said. “Prospective students can take tours, talk with academic and financial advisors, participate in activities sponsored by our Student Activities office and enjoy free food.”

Those unable to attend in October are invited to the next Discover Day taking place at Lewis and Clark on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019.

More information is available upon request to Delfina Dornes by telephone at (618) 468-5200 or via email at ddornes@lc.edu.
