Student Activities once again filled the bellies of Lewis and Clark Community College students Aug. 29 of this year, allowing anybody in the commons the chance of a free walking taco, which included a snack size Doritos bag containing taco meat with cheese, lettuce, and sour cream.

There was also the option of having a free water or soda to enjoy along with the presence of the live performance by the band ‘Black and White.”

As students gladly ate their delicious treat, the band played classics such as “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, along with “Forget You” by Cee Lo Green, “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift, and “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson.

This is not the first time Student Activities has held an event for free delicious walking tacos, having been successful last school year as well. Student Activities has held many events around campus that more often than not offer various forms of free food or fun activities for the student body, and are always welcoming for volunteers to help distribute such tasty food to the entire student body.

Student Activities will also soon be hosting events such as a Halloween Party in Reid Cafe, as well as a Glow Party later on in the semester, and so many other events right here on campus for all the students to enjoy.

To learn more about upcoming events, students should check their L&C emails for the

Trailblazer Times newsletter, various whiteboards placed around the school and promotional flyers for events.

There is also a Facebook page for Student Activities online that may be followed to help keep track of upcoming events as well.

For interested students, there are meetings held in the Underground location beneath Reid Cafe usually on Mondays at 11 a.m. Students may also contact the SA advisor Jared Hennings at jhenning@lc.edu for further information.
