Many new students that are coming to L&C were born in 2000, but those born before then would probably remember the PlayStation game, Spyro the Dragon.
Back when the Crash Bandicoot remaster came out, many were speculating “When is Spyro coming?” because for Insomniac, it had always been Crash and Spyro. For the longest time, we thought it wasn’t going to happen, and as of April 5, 2018, Spyro the Dragon: Reignited was announced! All three games, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro: Ripto’s Rage (or Gateway to Glimmer if you’re a European player), and Spyro the Year of the Dragon will be released Nov. 13, 2018.
The game is going to be released on PS4, Xbox One and there are rumors of a Switch release (though no official news thus far). For a limited time after the game has been released, you can purchase it with a PS4. The games are HD remakes of the original 3D platformers that released on the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, and based on leaked footage and photos, the remake has a cartoony style that reminds us of our childhood.
In Spyro the Dragon, you play as the little purple dragon named Spyro who has to travel through five magical worlds and rescue the dragons encased in crystal by the evil Gnasty Gnorc. In Spyro: Ripto’s Rage, Spyro is in dire need of a vacation, and through some accidental mishaps with a portal, ended up in a place called Glimmer, and from there you learn there is an evil mastermind who seriously hates dragons and you collect Talismans and Orbs throughout the game. In Spyro: Year of the Dragon, the dragon eggs were stolen! And have to you travel to the Lost Worlds where they were taken to and collect all of the eggs to bring them home where they belong. These games are great if you love 3D platformers or if you just love the adorable purple dragon! The game is on Pre-Sale until it’s release date of Nov. 13.
