Synth pop seems to be the sound that many indie bands are trying to go for nowadays and it is the sound the Mates of State have been creating music with since their debut in 1997. The husband and wife team of Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel create wonderfully mellow and upbeat synth and drum driven pop music.
