In jubilant honor of today being the Bridge business manager Nate Gnau’s birthday, today’s song of the day comes in as a somewhat electronic present to him that is shared with people around the world. The song is “MoneyGrabber” by the group Fitz & the Tantrums and is the first single off the band’s debut album Pickin’ Up The Pieces. Fitz & the Tantrums creates wonderfully nostalgic soul music that has elements of pop thrown in for good measure. Check out the duotone video below and, oh yeah, happy birthday Nate!

Fitz & the Tantrums have the ability to totally kick ass in the long term. I really hope they continue with this awesome sound, this is just so damn good. Dude almost sounds like Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates fame…
