SGA Bowling Tourney Smashing Success

An outstanding number of students attended the Student Government Association’s bowling tournament at Bowl Haven in Alton. The competition was hot, with seven teams vying for the top spot. Bowlers enjoyed free pizza and drinks, with the presence of their fellow students.

Student Government Association president Jared Hennings was quoted as saying “the success of the event was a direct result of why I think Student Activities is successful… The students who work planning the events. When students meet in collaboration, positive results often happen.”

The final standings were:

1.      1274    WLCA
2.      1216    Trailblazers Soccer
3.      947     Student Government
4.      910     Veterans Club
5.      906     Black Student Association
6.      781     The Bridge
7.      ???       Student Activities

The event will be held again on April 13, from 1-3 pm, with a similar concept. teams will have a minimum of three players, with a maximum of five. The winning team will receive $20 gas cards a piece, with the second place team getting $5 lunch coupons per person, to be redeemed in the campus cafeteria.
