Lewis and Clark Community College’s Student Activities group invited the entire student body once again to the Reid Cafe for an amazing Lip Synching and Karaoke Contest event on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

The event led up to nearly 50 students and faculty members attending, some students passing through on campus as well as the various talented students who participated in the event. There were a few cash prizes offered to three potential lucky winners.

Jocelyn Anderson received $75 for winning first place, Taylor Hudson received $50 for winning second place, and Morenna Hall received $25 for winning third place. These ladies were reported to have definitely caught the audience’s attention during their time on stage with their unique lip-synching performances.

One of the judges, Niki Busler, states her joy for the organization of such events on campus. “I think Jared Hennings does a really great job bringing the students together for events. They are always so much fun, as well as bringing the student body together for an event,”

D.J. Lonnie Ray, a popular reoccurring guest of Lewis and Clark, states his enjoyment of being able to participate in the event. “I have always had a great and long-term relationship with Lewis and Clark Community College,”

The judgment for the karaoke and lip-synching event contest had been based on a few factors that could have impacted a student’s chances of winning. A few factors included a student’s ability for attention-grabbing, stage presence, as well as crowd response!

Student Activities will be hosting more events coming up, including Lewis and Clark Community College’s annual Springfest that will be held this year on May 1, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., as well as the spring “Under the Sea” dance from 8 p.m. until midnight on May 2, 2019. For further information on Student Activities, students are encouraged to contact Jared Hennings at jhennings@lc.edu.
