Discovery Event

 The future is a realm with endless mystery and endless possibilities, with new beginnings, and uncharted horizons. The journey of self-discovery and exploring your options, setting goals, and narrowing down what, and where you would like to see yourself in the future is unknown. It’s a hard decision to make and fortunately there is always someone and something that can help you narrow down the difficult decision of choosing where to go for college and what you would like to get a degree in.  

Discovery Day took place on October 16 from 2:00-4:00pm. Discovery Day is a day that helps high school students from all over to decide what they might want to do for their future and if they might want to go to Lewis and Clark Community College. It shows cases booths with all sorts of circular activities that the student can be a part of such as welding, fine arts, and broadcasting. “This event creates an opportunity for high school students to discover all that LC has to offer. Attendees were able to tour the campus and meet other students” said LC Recruiter Daniel C Nose. 

“This is a great opportunity for high schoolers and even parents to get to know more about the campus and become more familiar with it and to see all the opportunities that this campus has to offer” said by student of LC Jess Snyder. The event held all sorts of booths to show what LCCC offers for degrees like welding technology, and Radio Broadcasting, and graphic design, and for Fine art, as well they had booths that also support and help students like Student Success Center, financial aid. 

“This event is very educational and informative to the multiple programs in the school, and I love the school’s opportunities” said by student Brandon Hayes Jr. They made sure to give the visitors the full look of the school with tours that the students can look around campus and see all the buildings and where they are located. “I think it’s pretty cool definitely like opens your mind to the different things you could do in the future” said by visiting student Elise Waggener.  

The student life is full of opportunities that LC has to offer you can pick and choose which ever one suits you for the future if you’re looking for being into dental, or web design, or music you can pick and choose what fits you the best, LC offers the best and only the best for its students so that they can learn and get the degree that they want, as well as has many clubs that the students can join to be a part of the school life such as Dawg Pound, Pride club, LC Gardening, and Video Game and so much more. “This event helps students get real taste of college life here at Lc” said by LC Recruiter Daniel C Nose.
