On October 2 and 3, three hundred students came to the commons in theMathBuilding where the second semester nursing students were hosting a depression and abuse screening. Students Gwen Snow and Katie Litteken, who ran the booth and handled the paperwork, said, “The purpose was to provide people with further assistance with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and bipolar disorder.”

They also help to provide other resources for counseling such as Renee Bauer, who is the campus counselor. By providing this service, not only are they raising awareness of the types of depression and abuse, but they are also raising awareness about the different services in the areas surrounding campus including services anywhere from theSt.   Louisto Carrolton area.
