A privately owned metalwork factory in Huizhou, China run by designers Jiang Chen and Yang Junlin recently created a non-functioning Megatron tank mode sculpture. This beast is 4.5 x 3.2 x 2.5 meters, weighs in at 5 tons (which is a bit over 10,000 lbs), and looks exactly like the Megatron tank from Transformers 2

Can anyone say NERDGASM?

The name of said factory is Wing Wah, and they’re big on using scrap metal and other recycled materials to create large-scale sculptures and industrial art.

Apparently, they’ve also made several other Transformers, including a set that can be converted into wine racks (Wino…bot?)

Below is some original concept art for the tank in the movie and the image gallery after includes images of the tank made by the Chinese designers.

Whenever the world is attacked and completely owned by giant morphing robots, just remember, It’s not from outer space, It was made in China.

Check out an image gallery of the sculpture as well as images of the character from the movie below.
