Broken Bells, the uber-talent sandwich that is James Mercer of the Shins and Danger Mouse/ Brian Burton of everything else , released their first self-titled album last year. Their music is a subtly eclectic mix of Mercer’s sweet somewhat-squeaky voice with Burton’s master of instrumentation. Their collaboration results in fun and meaningful music.
The band has followed up their debut with the four song EP Meyrin Fields that will be released March 29. Luckily, we don’t have to wait that long to listen to their new material. Check out NPR’s All Song’s Considered blog here to stream “Windows,” a track off the forthcoming EP.
