Is Anybody Else Excited for Isn’t It Romantic?

Has anybody else ever felt like they weren’t good enough for the classic romantic comedy love story? I have definitely thought to myself more than once that I’d never find it, and I’m sure plenty of other people who don’t meet traditional beauty standards feel similar. Well, this Valentine’s Day Season, that’s all about to change. A new romantic comedy is coming out starring Rebel Wilson as an architect living in New York City named Natalie, who wakes up to find herself in her very own romantic comedy after a head injury. To her dismay, her romantic comedy is also PG-13, which means she’ll be unable to curse or have any intense romantic scenes with her co-star Liam Hemsworth. What makes this especially difficult for Natalie is that to return back to reality, she has to fall in love with Liam Hemsworth’s character, Blake, by the end of the movie.

The trailer has been out for a while now, being both shown on television and on YouTube. The trailer brilliantly gives hints to the self-references and meta jokes that will be in the movie, poking fun about how romantic comedies unrealistically portray both life and love, as well as providing some still very solid ideas about the concept of romance as a whole. I wouldn’t consider myself the biggest Rebel Wilson fan, but I am beyond excited to see where this movie goes!

Isn’t It Romantic will be premiering to theaters on Wednesday, Feb. 13th of this year, right in time for Valentine’s Day. You can bring a date or buy a whole lot of popcorn and chocolate and watch by yourself! I know I’ll be one of the first people seated at the show, probably with a friend, ready to enjoy myself! Stay tuned for a review of this movie next month!
