Dear Readers:
As we dive into the final stretch of the semester, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible events and experiences in the past month at Lewis and Clark Community College. From premier campus events to exciting concerts and thrilling sports games, the past month has been nothing short of unforgettable.
We ended the month with the highly anticipated 2024 “You Have a Voice!” Humanities Speech Contest, where students displayed their eloquence and passion on a variety of thought-provoking topics. It was a testament to the power of expression and the importance of dialogue in our community.
Another highlight was the 2024 Always Late Night TV Show Awards, where creativity and talent took center stage. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable, reminding us of the vibrant culture that thrives here at L&C and the alumni that started here.
On the sports front, our women’s tennis and men’s baseball teams have been making waves with their dedication and skill on the field. Their hard work and determination serve as an inspiration to us all.
And let’s not forget about the campus concerts featuring Gavin O’Brien and Will Marsh, whose performances left us all mesmerized and craving more. Music truly has a way of bringing us together, and these concerts were a perfect example of that.
In addition to these exciting events, we also have the pleasure of bringing you an advice column to help navigate the ups and downs of life. From tips on happiness to relationship advice, we hope these columns will be a source of support and guidance for you.
As we approach the summer months, I encourage you to take advantage of the remaining campus events and sports games. Whether it’s cheering on our teams or attending a concert, there’s still plenty of opportunities to make lasting memories before the semester is over.
In this issue, we also delve into important topics such as the Autism Speaks Organization and why some consider it a hate group. It’s essential to have open and honest conversations about issues that affect our community, and I hope this article sparks meaningful dialogue among our readers.
And of course, no issue would be complete without our game and movie reviews to keep you entertained and informed. Whether you’re a gaming enthusiast or a film buff, we’ve got you covered with our latest recommendations and insights.
As always, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our readers for your continued support and engagement. Your feedback drives us to continually strive for excellence, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
Wishing you all the best as we approach the end of the semester. Let’s finish strong and make these last few weeks count!
Warm regards,
Jeannette Carrington
