Lewis and Clark Community College is now offering classes for some subjects to be taken between Dec. 19 through Jan. 13.

Students can now take classes and earn credits between fall and spring semesters with L&C’s new intercession class offerings.

“The classes offer students more options,”  L&C Vice President of Enrollment Kent Scheffel said. If students only need a couple more credits for their degree, now they can get it without having to take a whole other semester in the spring or waiting for summer.

“Students can use the abbreviated session to stay on schedule with their degree plan or shorten the time necessary to earn their degree or certificate,” Scheffel said.

The online courses and web-blended courses are condensed and made to run from Dec. 19 through Jan. 13.

The classes will be offered in art, biology, business, health, English, history, literature, music, and politics.

“Because of the condensed format of these classes, there will be limited course offerings and classes may fill up fast, so students are encouraged to begin enrolling now along with their regular spring semester classes,” Scheffel said.

Registration for spring begins Oct. 24 as well as registration for the new winter intersession classes. Students should schedule an appointment an academic advisor to learn more.
