SOUNDWAVES: (Song Of The Day) The Black Keys

Song of the day

“She’s howlin’ for love, she’s howlin’ for revenge, she’s…….howlin’ for you”

Earlier this week, The Black Keys released their video for “Howlin’ For You,” the second single off their latest album, Brothers. The video is a fake trailer and a spoof off the Grindhouse genre that has been resurfacing lately in film. The music video is riddled with B-movie stars and includes Tricia Helfer as the sexy bad-ass lead, Sean Patrick Flannery (veritas aequitas, anyone?) as the killer Tricia can’t fall in love with but predictably does, and “Sir” Todd Bridges as a perverted priest. It also stars Corbin Bernsen, Diora Baird, Christian Serratos, a cameo by Shaun White, and of course, Partrick Carney and Dan Auerbach as “Las Teclas De Negro.” The only thing that could make this fake trailer any better would be if Quentin Tarantino penned the script and Robert Rodriguez directed the theatrical release.

Check out the video below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
