I have read every Twisted Tale so far, and this one has been my favorite book yet! Written by Elizabeth Lim, this novel takes a unique spin on the story of Cinderella. It is the ninth book in the Twisted Tales series and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. The synopsis is as follows, “What if Cinderella never tried on the glass slipper? Unable to prove that she’s the missing princess, and unable to bear life under Lady Tremaine any longer, Cinderella attempts a fresh start, looking for work at the palace as a seamstress. But when the Grand Duke appoints her to serve under the king’s visiting sister, Cinderella becomes witness to a grand conspiracy to take the king-and the prince-out of power, as well as a longstanding prejudice against fairies, including Cinderella’s own Fairy Godmother. Faced with questions of love and loyalty to the kingdom, Cinderella must find a way to stop the villains of past and present . . . before it’s too late.”

This story was fantastic, giving wonderful character development and interesting social commentary comparable to real life. Especially the plight of discrimination against magical creatures, which had also been a theme in “As Old As Time: A Twisted Tale.” The conspiracy that is created in the narrative is attention gripping and leaves the reader on the edge of their seat to see the way everything will play out. I couldn’t put this book down! I especially loved the character development and exploring the different avenues of where the original tale could have differed. The twists of the novel are genuinely intriguing and enjoyable for the reader. As a frequent fan of the Twisted Tale series, I can honestly say that this one is my favorite so far and I highly recommend it to any reader who loved Disney growing up. “So This is Love” is currently available on Amazon.com for purchase.
