Lewis & Clark Community College website is designed to help you through college. It is a way where you can look up your grades for the semester, pick your classes, look up different events as well as games schedules and so much more. Recently, there have been recent changes to the Lewis & Clark Community College website and everything may look a little different from before.
Media specialist, Laura Inlow, and others are responsible for this change. “We were looking for something clean and modern with more emphasis on beautiful Lewis & Clark photography,” Inlow said. “We were looking to make the page and section navigation more user friendly for all of our constitutes which include prospective students, visitors, and current faculty, staff and students.”
The website brings a lot to the table as it shows not only the designs, but also the chance to see what great photographers L&C has through the pictures that are now able to be displayed as soon as an individual opens the website. It is beautifully done and lets students and others have an opportunity to feel free and express themselves with the different organizations and groups that many are involved.
“We worked with a company called Ellucian, which specialize in higher education web solutions, to build the site’s core structure, with design and content input from a collaborative team here on campus,” Inlow said. From this point, L&C’s in-house team (a blend of information technology and media services staff) built the site and added content including text, links, photo galleries and more.
“Also it is built with a responsive design, which means it’s very mobile friendly, and it’s a huge change from the old website,” Inlow said. “The new site resizes and rearranges it’s components to optimize a user’s experience based on the size of their screen and device.”
The newly designed website is making an impact on students. The new features quickly grab the attention of the user and there are many things to discover from the site. Lewis and Clark Community College is on the move with bigger and better things in store with the student in mind.
