St. Louis, MO- The Wichita State and Indiana State fans were battling back and forth at the Scottrade Center for the semi-final matchup on Saturday while the MVC Tournament’s number two, WSU, and number three, ISU, seeds battled it out on the court.

Indiana State shot 40 percent from the field and were 16 of 22 from the charity stripe in their 61-54 victory over Wichita State.  The Shockers shot just 33.9 percent from the field and threw up 29 three pointers, knocking down just 7 of them.

Indiana State had two players in double digits; Big man Myles Walker had 14 points and guard Jake Odum went off for 12 notes and 5 boards.

The Sycamore’s J.T. Durley posted up a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds while David Kyle threw in an extra 10 points of his own, but that was not enough to overcome the deficit put in place by the Shockers.

Indiana State outscored Wichita 39-27 in the second half after trailing by 5 in the game’s first 20 minutes.

Indiana State advances to take on Missouri State Sunday at 1:05pm.  The game will be on CBS.
