The city of Grafton is gearing up to offer some new and exciting high speed thrills. The Grafton City Council has approved a business license allowing a zipline to be constructed in the hills above the town.

Grafton Adventure’s Zipline is scheduled to open for guests the first of June.  They plan to offer several tour packages including eight different lines ranging in length from 300 to 2,000 feet. The tour will reach up to 90 minutes with costs between $45 and $100.

Aerie’s Riverview Winery and Cottages owners, Jeff and Sandy Lorton, saw an opportunity in the land.  From the hills to the hollows, the Lorton’s believed a zipline tour would be the least obtrusive way for visitors to experience Grafton’s natural beauty.

The new business is expected to bring about 15 new jobs as well as boost local economy by bringing new visitors to town.

  1. As an original Graftonite myself, we used to take these tours for free as kids:) We explored the bluffs in great detail and it was always a fascinating adventure!
