Donna Ware has been re-elected to the Lewis and Clark Community College Board of Trustees, securing her position alongside newcomers Abigail Eillerman and Tammy Smith-Williams. The election, held on April 1, 2025, saw Ware, Eillerman, and Smith-Williams emerge victorious in a closely contested race.
Ware, who has served on the board for two years, brings a wealth of experience from her role as Executive Director at BJC HealthCare. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. Ware is committed to enhancing the college’s impact on students and the community.
Eillerman received 27.6% of the vote, Smith-Williams garnered 26.5%, and Ware secured 26.4%. The fourth candidate, George N. Ellis, received 19.5%.
The trustees play a crucial role in shaping the college’s policies and strategic direction. They are responsible for setting long-term goals, developing policies, overseeing fiscal matters, managing personnel, and advocating for the college within the community.
